- Work with data engineers to design scalable data pipelines and production-ready infrastructure.
- Apply machine learning and statistical methods to improve automation across the underwriting process.
- Explore and evaluate new modeling approaches for document understanding, NLP, and tabular data.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver data solutions that directly support customers.
- Contribute to best practices in data quality, reproducibility, and interpretability.
- Help shape the future of our data science practice in a fast-growing, venture-backed startup.

- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous, data-rich domains.
Preferred
- STEM Master's Degree
- Experience with insurance or financial services data.
- Background in reinforcement learning, interpretable ML, or graph-based models.
