Solace
Solace runs a healthcare advocacy marketplace matching patients, especially Medicare users, with nurses and doctors who coordinate care and handle insurance matters across all 50 U.S. states.
Solace is a healthcare technology company founded in 2022 that operates a marketplace connecting patients and families with expert healthcare advocates. The platform matches users - particularly those on Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans - with experienced nurses, doctors and care specialists who coordinate care, find specialists, schedule appointments, handle insurance approvals, translate medical information and argue for treatments on behalf of patients rather than insurers or hospitals.
The company reports having helped more than 200,000 patients across all 50 U.S. states. It raised a $130m Series C alongside additional venture funding, and is valued at more than $1bn. Technical work centres on healthcare technology, marketplace infrastructure and patient-advocate matching.
Solace operates as a fully remote company. It was founded out of a founder's personal experience navigating the healthcare system during a family member's pancreatic cancer diagnosis, and retains a patient-first orientation: its advocates are employed to work for the patient, not for insurance companies or hospitals.
