Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Recruit & Employ, operated by Recruit and Employ LLC., a Texas limited liability company (“Recruit & Employ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, job board, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), available at www.recruitandemploy.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly. By using the Service, you consent to our use of cookies as described here and, where required by law, as set through our cookie banner or preference tools.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as web beacons, pixels, tags, local storage, and software development kits (collectively, “cookies” in this Policy). “First-party” cookies are set by us; “third-party” cookies are set by other companies whose services appear on or support the Service. Cookies may be “session” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” (remaining until they expire or you delete them).

2. Why We Use Cookies

As an employment marketplace and job board, we use cookies to keep you signed in, secure the Service, remember your searches and saved listings, distinguish employer and candidate experiences, measure how listings and pages perform, deliver and measure advertising where applicable, and support integrations and aggregated content. Some cookies are essential to operate the Service; others are optional and used only where permitted or with your consent.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

The table below describes the general categories of cookies we may use. The specific cookies in use can change as we update the Service.

Category What it does Examples on our Service Typical duration
Strictly necessary Required to operate the Service; cannot be switched off. Sign-in and session, security, load balancing, saving your consent choices. Session to 12 months
Functional / preferences Remembers choices to personalize your experience. Saved job searches, saved/bookmarked listings, location, language, employer vs. candidate view. Up to 12 months
Performance / analytics Helps us measure and improve how the Service is used. Pages and listings viewed, search terms, application funnel, error tracking. Up to 24 months
Advertising / targeting Used to deliver and measure relevant advertising. Ad partners, retargeting job seekers or employers, campaign attribution. Up to 13 months
Third-party / embedded Set by providers whose tools appear on the Service. Social login, payment processors, embedded video or maps, automation integrations. Varies by provider

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us or that you interact with through the Service, such as analytics providers, advertising and measurement partners, payment processors, social-login and social-media providers, and embedded content (for example, video, maps, or automation integrations). We do not control these third parties’ cookies, and their use of information is governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies. Aggregated job listings and third-party content displayed on the Service may also involve cookies set by their originating sources.

5. How Long Cookies Last

Retention varies by cookie. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for the period set for each cookie (for example, up to 24 months for certain analytics), or until you delete them. Actual durations depend on the specific cookies deployed and may be updated over time.

6. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie banner / preference center. Where offered, use our on-site cookie controls to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before they are set. Disabling cookies may affect functionality, such as staying signed in or keeping saved searches.
  • Opt-out tools. Industry tools, such as those offered by the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative, and provider-specific opt-outs (for example, analytics or advertising partners) let you opt out of certain uses.
  • Preference signals. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

Because strictly necessary cookies are required to operate the Service, they cannot be disabled through our controls.

7. “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. Where applicable law requires, we treat recognized signals such as GPC as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), and, for individuals in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR/UK GDPR may give you rights regarding cookies and the information they collect, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and, where required, to give or withhold consent to non-essential cookies. To exercise these rights, use the cookie controls described above or contact us at customersuccess@recruitandemploy.com. Our Privacy Policy describes these rights in more detail.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above, and the updated Policy becomes effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after any change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy, subject to any consent required by applicable law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
