Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Recruit & Employ, operated by Recruit and Employ LLC., a Texas limited liability company (“Recruit & Employ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website, job board, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), available at www.recruitandemploy.com. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information we process about visitors, job seekers (“Candidates”), and employers, recruiters, and staffing organizations (“Employers”) who use the Service. It does not apply to the privacy practices of Employers, third-party websites, or aggregation sources, which are governed by their own policies. When you apply to or interact with an Employer, that Employer is an independent controller of your information and is responsible for its own handling of it.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. This includes account registration details (name, email, password); Candidate profile and resume information (work history, education, skills, location, and any information you choose to include); Employer and listing information; applications and messages; support and survey communications; and billing information you submit to our payment processors.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Service, we and our providers automatically collect device and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, search terms, and timestamps, using cookies and similar technologies. We also record when you were last active on the Service, for example when you sign in, update your profile, or apply for a job.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from aggregation sources and job feeds, analytics and advertising partners, payment processors, identity or fraud-prevention providers, and, if you register or log in through a third-party service, from that service as permitted by your settings. Aggregated job listings displayed on the Service may originate from public career pages and feeds and are not verified by us.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to: provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service; create and manage accounts; display, match, and deliver job listings, profiles, and applications between Candidates and Employers; process payments and manage subscriptions; communicate with you, including service, transactional, and marketing messages (from which you may opt out); personalize content and recommendations; conduct analytics and research; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations. We may create de-identified or aggregated data, which is not subject to this Policy, and use it for any lawful purpose.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, measure performance, and, where applicable, deliver relevant advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and certain opt-out tools; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information as follows:

  • Between Candidates and Employers. When you apply to or interact with a listing, or make your profile available, we share the relevant information with the applicable Employer, which then handles it under its own policies. If the Service has a talent directory and a Candidate makes their profile visible in it, Employers using the Service can see the profile details the Candidate chooses to show. If the Candidate’s job search status is “Actively looking” or “Open to offers,” signed-in Employers can also see roughly when they were last active (for example, “Active this week”); we never show the exact time. To stop sharing this, the Candidate can set their status to “Not looking” or hide their profile.
  • With service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payment processing, communications, security), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • With aggregation and integration partners. Where you connect the Service to third-party tools (for example, via our API or automation integrations), we share information as directed by you.
  • For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Recruit & Employ, our users, and the public.
  • In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

6. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may update your account information, adjust communication preferences, and unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), and, for individuals in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR/UK GDPR. These rights may include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information; to opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or certain profiling; and to appeal a decision. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise a right, contact us at customersuccess@recruitandemploy.com. We will verify your request as required by law before responding and will respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. For applications you submit to Employers, please also contact the relevant Employer, as it independently controls that information.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or anonymize it.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information. You use the Service and provide information at your own risk, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any unauthorized access to, use of, or loss of information beyond our reasonable control.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and the Service is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

11. Third-Party Links and Aggregated Listings

The Service may contain links to and content from third-party websites, Employers, and aggregation sources that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing information to it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above, and the updated Policy becomes effective when posted. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after any change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
