Job Description:
The Project Coordinator for Product Development is responsible for managing and supporting the end-to-end development process of new products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, quality assurance, packaging, and supply chain to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep passion for creating high level hair care products.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop detailed project timelines for new product development, including concept creation, formuladevelopment, testing phases, packaging design, and market launch. Ensure milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination:
Act as the liaison between product development teams, ensuring seamless communication between R&D (formulation), packaging, marketing, supply chain, and quality control. Facilitate regular status meetings andupdate stakeholders on progress and roadblocks.
Product Development Process Management:
● Work closely with the R&D team to monitor product formulation progress, including ingredient sourcing, testing, and approval.
● Coordinate the sampling and testing of new products, ensuring products meet quality standards and align with consumer expectations for performance, fragrance, and texture.
● Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, EU regulations, etc.) and ethical sourcing practices.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
Oversee relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring that all materials, packaging, andingredients are sourced on time, within budget, and meet the company’s quality standards.
Packaging Development & Innovation:
Partner with the packaging team to develop eco-friendly, functional, and aesthetically pleasing packaging thataligns with the brand's sustainability goals. Ensure packaging is designed with consumer usability and regulatory requirements in mind.
Market Research & Consumer Insights:
Work with the marketing team to integrate consumer feedback, trends, and market research into productdevelopment. Help translate insights into actionable development strategies and ensure that new products meet the needs of the target audience.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Manage the coordination of in-house and third-party testing (e.g., stability testing, clinical trials, safetytesting) to validate product efficacy, performance, and safety. Ensure that test results are documented, analyzed, and acted upon.
Product Launch Coordination:
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful product launches. This includes overseeing production timelines, coordinating marketing materials, supporting retail and online product presentations, and ensuring all operational steps are completed for a smooth product debut.
Risk Management & Problem Solving:
Identify potential risks (e.g., delays in testing, issues with ingredient supply, regulatory concerns) and work proactively to mitigate them. You will ensure any obstacles are quickly resolved to prevent delays or quality compromises.
