Waikiki Health

Waikiki Health is a nonprofit federally qualified health center providing primary care, behavioral health, pharmacy, and social services across Oahu regardless of ability to pay.

Waikiki Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center and nonprofit 501(c)(3) organisation that has served the Hawaii community since 1967. It provides medical and social services to patients regardless of their ability to pay, operating clinical sites in Waikiki, Kaimuki, and elsewhere on Oahu. Care is organised around a Patient-Centered Medical Home model, which delivers holistic primary care in welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental settings, with an emphasis on the community's most vulnerable populations. The care team spans several disciplines. Doctors, nurses, and healthcare specialists deliver primary and specialty medical services; counselors provide behavioral health care as part of integrated treatment; pharmacy staff support the care team directly; and social services are offered alongside medical care at clinical and programme sites. Staff work across these functions within a single mission-driven organisation rather than in isolated practices. The organisation describes its culture in terms of treating patients as ohana (family) and maintaining empathy and kindness within the care team. It states that everyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay, and that it aims to be creative and flexible in meeting diverse community needs and to empower others to reach their highest potential. Over five decades of continuous service have made it a fixture of the Hawaii community.
