McGregor Foundation
Private grant-making foundation investing in Northeast Ohio nonprofits to support older adults' choice, independence and community connection, through three strategic grant pillars.
McGregor Foundation is a private grant-making foundation that supports older adults across Northeast Ohio. Established in 2002, it advances the McGregor mission of promoting individual choice and community connection for older adults by investing in nonprofit organisations. The foundation traces its senior care heritage to A.M. McGregor Home and Amasa Stone House, a lineage of more than 140 years.
Its grant-making is organised around three strategic pillars: Basic Needs, Stability, and Access, which addresses essential needs and access to services; Purpose-Filled Careers, which supports purposeful work and career opportunities for and with older adults; and Thriving and Joy, which promotes fulfilling aging experiences. Grants are directed to nonprofit partner organisations serving Cuyahoga, Lorain and Summit counties, including East Cleveland and the Glenville neighbourhood of Cleveland.
In 2024 the foundation reported revenue of $24.7m and awarded roughly $24.5m in grants. Its stated commitments centre on equity, well-being, independence and opportunity in later life, alongside fostering connection between older adults and the broader community.
