Masonicare

Masonicare is a Connecticut not-for-profit senior care provider, founded in 1871, offering independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, home health and hospice services.

Masonicare is a not-for-profit provider of healthcare and retirement living for seniors in Connecticut. Founded in 1871 by Connecticut Masons, the organisation has operated for more than 150 years and today serves over 5,000 patients and residents. It runs the state's only fully integrated senior care continuum, spanning independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, behavioural health, home health care and hospice services.

Its communities include Ashlar Village and Chester Village in Connecticut, along with sites in Mystic and Wallingford. The breadth of that continuum means roles exist across clinical, care-giving, rehabilitation, behavioural health and community support functions, from residential settings through to home-based and end-of-life care.

Masonicare describes its founding principles as compassion, service and community support, with a mission focused on the quality of life of older adults. The organisation points to nationally recognised initiatives in senior care, among them The Living Classroom, a programme intended to advance practice in the sector through new approaches to care.
