Latent Health

Latent Health builds a clinical agentic platform that automates prior authorization and specialty medication approvals for US health systems, payers and pharma.

Latent Health, founded in 2023 by Sriram Somasundaram and Rishabh Jain, builds intelligence infrastructure for American healthcare. Its Enterprise Pharmacy Intelligence platform uses a clinical agentic engine to connect providers, insurers and pharmaceutical companies, with the aim of simplifying specialty medication approvals and automating prior authorization. The company operates in the United States and serves health systems, specialty pharmacies, payers and life sciences firms.

The platform ingests data from doctor's notes, lab results and other clinical documents to surface relevant patient evidence. It parses payer policies, checks medical necessity, auto-fills forms and routes appeals. According to the company, this reduces the time from prescription to patient care from days to minutes.

Latent Health reports adoption by more than 50 health systems. Reported outcomes include a 109% increase in prior-authorization throughput per team member, an 85% specialty fill capture rate, and more than $300K in annual labour cost avoided per health system.

The company raised an $80M Series A round and is backed by Transformation Capital, Spark Capital, McKesson Ventures and Y Combinator. Its stated focus is on measurable clinical outcomes and on relieving administrative burden so that pharmacists and clinical staff can concentrate on patient care. Technical work spans clinical and agentic AI, natural language processing and clinical document parsing, prior-authorization workflow automation, healthcare data integration and payer policy parsing.
