Iliad

Iliad is a European telecommunications group running Free in France, iliad in Italy and Play in Poland, providing mobile and broadband services to 45.3m subscribers.

Iliad is a European telecommunications group founded in 1999 that operates mobile and broadband services in three countries: France, through Free; Italy, under the iliad brand; and Poland, through Play. Together these brands serve 45.3m subscribers. The group employs more than 16,500 people and works across telecommunications, broadband networking, converged triple-play services and digital consumer services.

The group's product record includes the world's first triple-play box, developed in-house and central to its approach of bundling voice, internet and television for consumers. Its stated priorities include consumer rights, fair pricing and data protection, pursued through The Free Foundation, which has been operating for 20 years.

Internally, the group describes a culture built on autonomy, speed and collective spirit, in which teams are trusted to take ownership and are expected to move quickly and build things themselves. It presents itself as a job creator, particularly for young people and those entering the workforce for the first time, and recruits without prejudice, valuing people over backgrounds. Employees are offered room to move between roles and careers across the group's operations in France, Italy and Poland.
