Sporty Group

Sporty Group builds everyday entertainment platforms for sports fans in emerging markets. Founded in 2013, the company started as a sports betting operation in Africa and has since expanded across digital and linear sports broadcasting, fintech, entertainment and gaming. It employs more than 700 people and reaches millions of daily users in more than 10 countries across three continents.

Its products include SportyTV, Africa's leading free-to-air sports broadcaster, which holds rights to the Premier League, LaLiga, the Bundesliga and the Olympic Games; SportyBet, a sports betting platform; Sporty.com, a sports app; Sporty Studios, its creative content hub; and football.com. The underlying technology platform was built from scratch three years ago, and the company operates without legacy systems.

Engineering work spans consumer internet platforms, sports broadcasting technology, fintech, gaming and betting platforms, mobile and web application development, and media and content technology. The workforce is remote-first and globally distributed.
