About the Role
Reporting to the SVP of Revenue, the Senior Manager, Business Operations will be responsible for owning the end-to-end analytics and operational strategy across the buyer and seller lifecycle. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives that improve marketplace efficiency, enhance user experience, and identify high-impact opportunities to increase GMV and expand margins.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Performance & Analytics
- Build and own a comprehensive view of the full buyer and seller lifecycle — from onboarding and activation to conversion, retention, and re-engagement
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track GMV, take rate, margin, sell-through rates, issue rates, and other core marketplace KPIs
- Use data to identify and dive deeply into friction points, inefficiencies, and growth levers, isolating drivers to determine root causes
- Work with the Data Engineering team to provide feedback on areas of opportunity for data architecture and maintenance
Growth & Optimization Initiatives
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Design (EPD), Revenue (Supply & Demand Sales teams), and Operations to identify, manage, and execute strategic initiatives that directly address insights identified through dashboarding / deep dives
- Build and maintain frameworks for pricing / margin strategies, buyer and seller scoring, inventory grading, reimbursement policies, and lifecycle optimization
- Surface insights and opportunities to better match demand with supply - focusing on the highest-value listings / sellers and buyers
- Scope end-to-end automation and tooling for the post-purchase process, driving implementation alongside the operations team
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a thought partner to the SVP of Revenue and other senior leaders in setting and executing specific company strategies & initiatives
- Support finance with Monthly Business Review analysis, and the CEO, Chief of Staff, and SVP of Revenue on All Hands, and Board Deck creation, as required
- Drive goal-setting and OKR alignment across the Business org
- Analyze net new business opportunities to determine relative priority
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business operations, strategy, or analytics roles, ideally in a marketplace, B2B SaaS, or logistics-related company
- Excellent analytical skills — comfortable diving deep into data, running SQL, building models, and translating insights into action
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strong business intuition, with a track record of identifying and executing high-impact growth or efficiency opportunities
- Experience in a fast-moving and dynamic startup environment

This role is based in Los Angeles. The base salary for this position can range from $150,000 to 175,000. The actual amounts may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.
