Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, not-for-profit community healthcare system based in Tallahassee, Florida. Founded in 1948 and operating for more than 75 years, it employs over 6,000 colleagues and is the largest private employer in Tallahassee. Its work spans acute care, specialty care, behavioural health and medical education across a 22-county region covering North Florida and South Georgia.
At the centre of the system is a 772-bed acute care hospital, alongside a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centres and a network of more than 50 affiliated physician practices. Clinical areas of focus include trauma care, stroke care, neonatal and paediatric intensive care, cardiovascular surgery, robotic minimally invasive surgery, oncology, orthopedics and psychiatric care.
TMH operates the region's only Level II Trauma Center, its Primary Stroke Center, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The system performed the region's first robotic, minimally invasive heart bypass surgery and was named among the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals in the nation in 2026. It has also been recognised as one of the best regional hospitals in Florida by U.S. News and World Report.
