Standard Bots

Standard Bots builds AI-native industrial robot arms and a skill-by-demonstration operating system, designed and assembled in the United States for manufacturers and other industries.

Standard Bots designs and assembles AI-native industrial robot arms in the United States. The company describes its mission as making the world's most accessible robots, starting with manufacturers, and reports being the largest U.S. industrial robotics company by robots shipped. Revenue has grown roughly tenfold annually, with robot orders up twenty-fold year over year.

The product line includes four robot arms: Core (RO1), a general-purpose arm for most manufacturing tasks with an 18kg payload and 1.3m reach; Thor, a heavy-duty arm rated at 30kg payload and 2.0m reach; Spark, for tabletop and education applications; and Bolt, for custom configurations. These run on ArcOS, an AI-powered operating system, and support Flux AI Skill, a skill-by-demonstration capability that lets operators teach a robot by showing it a task rather than writing code.

The company is vertically integrated, designing its own motors, encoders, and drives under the AmpereDrive name to optimise torque density and force sensing. Its technical work spans physical AI, robot operating systems, force sensing, and computer vision for adapting to real-world environments. Customers range from NASA and Lockheed Martin to small manufacturing facilities, across manufacturing, aerospace and defence, telecommunications, and education.
