RoboForce
RoboForce, founded in 2023, builds Physical AI robots and a full AI robotics stack to automate dull, dirty and dangerous work in solar, data centres, shipping, mining and manufacturing.
RoboForce is an AI robotics company founded in 2023 that builds what it calls a Robo-Labor system: Physical AI-powered robots designed for demanding industrial environments and the automation of dull, dirty and dangerous work. Its flagship product, Titan, is a general-purpose AI robot intended for real-world deployment in challenging outdoor settings. Alongside the hardware, the company has developed a Physical AI stack that combines robotic hardware, machine learning models and simulation environments to handle physically demanding and repetitive tasks.
The technical work spans machine learning, simulation, robotic hardware, motion control, object handling and task sequencing. Inference runs onboard using Nvidia Jetson Thor edge processors, while training draws on the Isaac simulation environment. Robots operate as connected systems, collecting operational telemetry and task-performance data that is fed back into training systems - a continuous data loop that underpins the company's data-driven approach to robot learning.
Target industries include solar energy, data centres, shipping, mining and manufacturing. RoboForce has raised $67m in total funding, with backing from YZi Labs, Nobel laureate economist Myron Scholes, Jerry Yang, Gary Rieschel and Carnegie Mellon University. Its team includes people with experience from CMU, UMich, Amazon Robotics, Google, Waymo, Cruise, Tesla Robotics, ABB and Apple.
