Mind Robotics

Mind Robotics, a 2025 spinout from Rivian, builds an AI-enabled industrial robotics platform for dexterous and reasoning-intensive manufacturing tasks, with over $1 billion raised.

Mind Robotics is building an industrial robotics platform designed to perform dexterous, variable and reasoning-intensive tasks in real-world manufacturing environments. The company, founded in 2025, was spun out of Rivian after more than two years of internal research. Its systems combine machine learning with industrial hardware - often described as physical AI - to automate complex work such as assembly and material handling.

The company's technical work spans machine learning, industrial automation and a data flywheel approach, in which systems continuously learn and are refined from operational data. Training data for the platform has been drawn from Rivian's manufacturing facilities. Target industries include automotive manufacturing, appliance manufacturing, soft goods and consumer goods.

Mind Robotics has raised over $1 billion in total funding: a $115 million seed round, a $500 million Series A co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz, and a further $400 million. The company describes itself as scaling rapidly, with work focused on complex, reasoning-intensive problems in real-world operations. Further details are available at https://mindrobotics.com/.
