Qred Bank AB
Swedish fintech and licensed bank founded in 2015, offering business loans and credit cards to small businesses across seven European markets.
Qred Bank AB is a Swedish fintech founded in Stockholm in 2015 and a fully licensed bank since 2023. It provides fast, flexible financing and credit card services to small businesses and entrepreneurs who are often overlooked by traditional banks. The company evaluates applicants on data and business potential rather than conventional risk metrics, using an automated proprietary credit scoring system built on a scalable digital lending platform and digital banking infrastructure.
Its products include Qred Business Loans, offering up to SEK 5 million (€500,000 outside Sweden) with no binding periods and no early repayment fees, and the Qred VISA Business Credit Card, which carries no monthly or annual fees and returns 1% cashback on all purchases. Technical work centres on fintech, automated credit scoring, data-driven risk assessment and the digital banking systems underpinning these services.
Qred operates in seven markets: Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It has distributed over SEK 10 billion in capital to more than 50,000 entrepreneurs, reports annual revenue above SEK 1 billion, and states that its customers create approximately 20 new jobs per day. The company has been listed in the Financial Times FT1000 ranking of fastest-growing companies for six consecutive years (2020–2026) - the only Swedish company to do so - and won the Nordic Scaleup Award in 2024.
Founded to address financing difficulties for entrepreneurs, Qred describes its approach as combining technology with practical business experience, with the aim of making funding simple, fast and fair. It reports remaining profitable while scaling.
