Lehigh Valley Health Network

LVHN is an integrated academic health system in the Lehigh Valley, running multiple hospitals and employing 21,000+ colleagues to deliver care from routine check-ups to critical care.

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is an integrated academic health care delivery system serving the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey. Founded in 1899, the network has grown from a single hospital into a system of multiple hospitals employing more than 21,000 colleagues and serving millions of patients each year. Its services range from routine check-ups to life-saving critical care.

LVHN's facilities include the Cedar Crest, Muhlenberg, Hazleton and Pocono hospitals. Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg hold Magnet recognition, and the network's hospitals have received consecutive 'A' Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group. U.S. News & World Report has named LVHN among its 'Best Hospitals' for 23 consecutive years.

The organisation operates at the intersection of academic medicine, integrated health care delivery and advanced medical technology, with stated emphasis on innovation in health care and hospital safety. Through a combination with Jefferson Health, LVHN functions as part of a larger academic health system, extending its reach across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

LVHN describes its mission as improving lives through exceptional health care, with a patient-centred philosophy that pairs personalised care with clinical expertise. Roles across the network span clinical practice, critical care, academic medicine and the technology and operational functions that support an integrated delivery system.
