JUNA

JUNA provides electric trucks as a service to small and medium-sized European carriers, combining Scania trucks with sennder's freight platform on a pay-per-use model.

JUNA is a European company founded in 2023 that works on the transition to zero-emission road logistics. It offers electric trucks as a service to small and medium-sized carriers, combining Scania's electric trucks with sennder's digital freight platform and access to green loads. The pay-per-use model is designed to remove high upfront costs and residual value risks for carriers adopting electric vehicles. The company operates across Europe and has stated an ambition to deploy 5,000 electric trucks by 2030.

The offering comprises four components. A pay-per-use electric truck service; a 360-services suite covering maintenance, insurance, telematics and electrification support; a digital control tower delivering real-time data on emission savings and truck performance; and a utilization guarantee that provides carriers with steady income through sennder's network of green loads.

Technical work spans electric vehicles, telematics, digital freight platforms, emissions tracking and analytics, fleet management and electrification support. JUNA was formed as a joint venture between Scania and sennder, and positions its work in line with the European Union's Green Deal goals, with a stated aim of setting a standard for sustainable transportation across Europe.
