Electra

Electra deploys and operates ultra-fast electric vehicle charging hubs across 10 European countries, offering up to 600 kW charging powered by 100% renewable energy.

Electra is a European operator of ultra-fast charging hubs for electric vehicles. Founded in 2021, the company deploys and runs charging stations with the stated aim of making charging as simple as filling up with petrol. Its network delivers up to 600 kW per station, enough for roughly 400 km of range in 20 minutes, and runs on 100% renewable energy. Access is open without a subscription.

The company has scaled quickly. It operates more than 750 stations across 10 European countries, employs over 280 people, and has raised more than €1 billion in funding. It has set a target of 15,000 fast-charging points by 2030. Electra is a member of the French Tech Next40 programme and has a presence in France.

Technical work spans ultra-fast EV charging, charging infrastructure, renewable energy and the energy transition. The company describes its focus as reliability, user-friendliness and accessibility, alongside the wider goal of broadening access to electric mobility. Positions are tied to a fast-expanding European footprint in electric mobility and clean energy infrastructure.
