Juakali
Juakali provides SaaS software that helps microfinance institutions and banks digitise and automate loan and field workflows, including an offline-first Android app for loan officers.
Juakali is a SaaS technology provider that supplies Financial Services Providers (FSPs) with software to digitize and automate microfinance and banking workflows. Its products are aimed at microfinance institutions and banks serving underbanked markets; the company notes that its client FSPs collectively address a target market of some 3 billion underbanked people worldwide.
The Juakali Platform is designed to digitise and automate core processes including loan origination, lead management, debt recovery and loan renewals. It combines a Digital Field Application, a process automation engine and API integrations intended to connect operations across microfinance workflows. The Digital Field Application is an Android app built for field loan officers: it operates offline and synchronises data when connectivity becomes available, a design choice suited to data collection in areas with limited network coverage.
The company was founded in Paris, France, and employs more than 30 people distributed across three continents. Its technical work spans SaaS platform development, process automation, API integration and offline-first mobile applications. The name Juakali is taken from Kenya's informal Jua Kali sector, a reference the company associates with practical ingenuity and adaptability.
