Gigs
Gigs builds a platform letting tech companies embed global mobile connectivity into their products, automating provisioning, carrier relationships, billing and support.
Gigs builds what it calls the operating system for mobile services: a platform that allows technology companies to embed global mobile connectivity directly into their own products. The Gigs Connectivity Platform handles wholesale carrier relationships, provisioning, billing and customer support, so that partners can offer mobile service without assembling the underlying telecom infrastructure themselves. The company works with firms in fintech, HR platforms, consumer technology and the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) segment.
The technical work spans telecom infrastructure, provisioning automation, billing systems, support automation, regulatory compliance and API design. Gigs describes the problem space as one of deep technical and regulatory complexity, and states a mission of making connectivity seamless for businesses and consumers.
The company employs around 100 people and has raised nearly $100m. It operates from five hubs, in San Francisco, New York, London, Berlin and Amsterdam. Members of the team bring experience from companies including Stripe, Airbnb and Shopify.
