EUTELSAT SA

Global satellite operator since 1977, building an integrated GEO-LEO network of 33 geostationary and 600+ LEO satellites for broadcast, maritime, emergency and enterprise connectivity.

EUTELSAT SA is a global satellite communications operator that has been in the business since 1977, when it began life as a European intergovernmental organisation before evolving into a company. It now employs 1,600 people across more than 50 countries and has spent over 40 years building connectivity where terrestrial infrastructure cannot reach. The company's central project is what it describes as the world's first fully integrated GEO-LEO satellite network, combining 33 geostationary satellites with more than 600 low Earth orbit satellites, including the OneWeb LEO constellation.

The network supports work across several domains: broadcast content delivery, reaching millions of viewers in Europe, Africa and beyond; emergency response communications; maritime fleet connectivity; and resilient global connectivity on land, at sea and in the air. Sectors served include broadcasting and media, government, emergency response, maritime, enterprise and consumer telecommunications.

EUTELSAT operates globally, with a presence spanning Europe, Africa and worldwide coverage. Its work is mission-driven - connecting places that terrestrial infrastructure cannot reach - and the company states a commitment to solutions that are technically excellent as well as sustainable and inclusive for the communities it serves. It combines a long legacy in satellite communications with a forward-looking focus on integrated GEO-LEO connectivity.
