Leaf Space

Leaf Space is a Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) provider that connects space assets to their operators, offering access to in-orbit data through a global ground station network. Founded in 2014 and originating as a garage startup in Milan, Italy, the company now operates offices in Milan and in Delaware, USA. It was recognised as Scale-Up of the Year at the Astrospace Awards 2025.

Its flagship service, Leaf Line, delivers satellite connectivity through a ground station network that Leaf Space fully owns and operates. The service uses all-inclusive per-minute pricing with no minimum usage commitment, smart autonomous pass scheduling and a unified platform. Alongside Leaf Line, the company provides telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) operations - including telemetry data reception - and mission-critical payload data transmission for satellite operators.

The network comprises more than 40 ground stations across 17 locations worldwide and supports over 140 satellites, managing upwards of 24,000 communication passes a month. Technical work spans satellite communications, TT&C, payload data transmission, ground station network operations, autonomous pass scheduling and space data connectivity. Customers range from new satellite operators to large constellations.
