Dungarvin

Family-owned human services organisation founded in 1976, providing person-centered disability, mental health and family supports across 15 states with about 10,000 employees.

Dungarvin is a family-owned provider of person-centered human services, founded in 1976 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The organisation supports individuals and families across 15 states through community-based services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and behavioural challenges, brain injuries, and significant medical challenges. It employs approximately 10,000 people and supports thousands of individuals.

Its services span residential support, host homes, day services, supported employment, case management and foster care. The company also operates Sengistix, a subsidiary delivering technology-enabled independent living solutions, including remote monitoring and technology-enabled supports. Dungarvin pioneered Minnesota's first Medicaid-waivered program, enabling flexible, individualised services outside institutions, and works across home and community-based services and Medicaid waiver programmes.

Growth has come through both strategic expansion and acquisitions; the organisation has grown from serving 15 people in a single apartment and from five states in 1990 to its current footprint. Its stated mission is "Respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports", with an emphasis on person-centered, non-institutional care and high-quality service delivery.
