CHC The Cancer & Hematology Centers

Michigan's largest physician-owned oncology and hematology practice, delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted and hormone therapy, clinical trials and supportive care across multiple state centers.

The Cancer & Hematology Centers (CHC) is Michigan's largest physician-owned oncology and hematology practice, with more than four decades in operation. It employs over 600 staff members and more than two dozen oncologists drawn from top medical schools, working across multiple centers in Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, Big Rapids, Flint, Lansing and Garden City.

CHC delivers advanced, comprehensive cancer care through chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy and targeted therapy, alongside expertise in malignant and benign hematology with specialised teams for various cancer types. The practice provides access to clinical trials through a partnership with START Midwest.

Support services form a substantial part of the organisation's work. These include behavioural oncology and psychological support, social work and financial coordination for patients and families, and survivorship programmes extending beyond medical treatment. The practice describes its mission in terms of help, healing and hope, with an emphasis on compassionate, patient-centred care that addresses physical and emotional needs.

CHC's stated aim is to bring world-class cancer care close to home so that patients need not travel far for treatment, delivering care across West Michigan and other communities statewide.
