Bon Secours Mercy Health
Catholic health care organization running 47 hospitals and over 1,200 care sites in the United States and Ireland, with a global ministry in Haiti, Peru, South Sudan and the Philippines.
Bon Secours Mercy Health is a Catholic health care organization formed in 2018 from the merger of Bon Secours Health System and Mercy Health. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 1,200 care delivery sites across the United States and Ireland, serving millions of patients a year and generating $14 billion in revenue. Nearly 60,000 associates work alongside 21,000 health care providers in the system.
The organization's work spans inpatient hospital care, hospital operations, community and underserved care, and global health ministries. Its international healing ministry, Global Ministries, extends care to communities in Haiti, Peru, South Sudan and the Philippines. Technical and clinical roles sit across these domains, from acute care delivery to the administration of a large, multi-site network.
Bon Secours Mercy Health traces more than 150 years of heritage to the congregations of the Sisters of Bon Secours, the Sisters of Mercy and the Sisters of the Humility of Mary. Its stated mission is to improve the health and well-being of communities, with particular attention to those who are poor, dying and underserved, and to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
