Affidea Switzerland

Affidea Switzerland is a national provider of outpatient healthcare services, active in diagnostic imaging and specialised medicine. Its clinical scope covers radiology, breast medicine, gastroenterology, urology, gynaecology, oncology and plastic surgery, delivered through a network of 33 multidisciplinary medical centres across the country. The company has operated in Switzerland since 2007 and serves more than 150,000 patients a year.

The workforce numbers more than 700 employees, among them over 100 doctors. In imaging, Affidea Switzerland runs 11 medical imaging centres in Western Switzerland - Fribourg, Valais and Geneva - of which two are specialised in women's imaging, alongside CT departments at several sites. These centres hold a five-star patient-safety rating on the Eurosafe Wall of Stars, awarded by the European Society of Radiology.

Growth has come through acquisitions and partnerships. Affidea Switzerland took majority ownership of Brust-Zentrum Zürich and the Plastic Surgery Group, described as the largest Swiss group for integrated breast medicine. It also acquired the Uroviva Group, the largest urological network in Switzerland, together with three gynaecological practices and an oncology department. The company maintains a presence in both German-speaking Switzerland, centred on Zürich, and Western Switzerland.
