Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
The firm is seeking an experienced Business Manager to help lead the firm’s AI adoption. The role will be responsible for helping to manage the AI initiatives and priorities, as determined by senior management. We are looking for a motivated, organized individual with a desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will work closely with business and technology to transform our AI offerings. You will be focusing on requirements collection, documentation, and managing the business delivery for all AI offerings. The role reports directly into the Managing Director of Middle Office Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as business manager, syncing plans across the management team, operations and technology
- Ownership of business initiatives, deadlines, testing and production roll-out of AI tools across the firm
- The documentation and mapping out of technical solutions
- Identify and communicate technical constraints, bugs, delays to business
- Assist business side management with technology resource allocation and prioritization
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience at a buy side firm in business or project management
- Some experience with AI technologies
- Experience working across different asset classes, products and markets
- Ability to scope out functional and technical requirements based on management input
- Comfortable with databases, cloud computing, and large data sets
- Deep understanding of financial products
- Experience working with complex business system integration and implementation
- Ability to communicate detailed levels to development teams and end-users
- Minimum level of technical proficiency – Python, R, BASH, etc
- Experience in project management software (JIRA, Monday)
Salary Range: $150,000 USD - $200,000 USD
