A financial institution in New York City is seeking a Learning Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in training facilitation within the financial services industry, including direct frontline experience. This role focuses on delivering and coordinating engaging learning experiences across various formats, partnering with stakeholders to support employee development initiatives.
Hybrid schedule: 3–4 days onsite per week
Salary range: $60K–$75K
Hours: Standard business hours
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions including orientation, leadership development, and technical systems
- Develop and maintain engaging training materials such as manuals, presentations, and job aids
- Coordinate scheduling, communication, attendance, and logistics for training sessions
- Partner with internal teams and SMEs to ensure training accuracy and alignment
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention
- Manage LMS setup and ensure training platforms are prepared for learners
- Maintain and update training content to reflect current policies and procedures
- Track and respond to learning requests through a shared inbox and ticketing system
- Collaborate with the L&D team to identify training needs and recommend improvements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of frontline financial services and corporate training experience
- Strong facilitation, communication, and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Articulate/Storyline and Vyond preferred
- Technologically savvy with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
