About The Team
The Associate Store Planner position is a newly established role on the J.Crew MP&A team. You will report into the Senior Planner of Store Planning and work in close partnership with the Field leadership team as well as the corporate-based Allocation, Planning, and Merchandising teams.
The Role and Purpose:
Location Strategy: Ensure stores are set up to meet or exceed financial targets by:
- Monitoring fleet-wide sales patterns and inventory levels
- Analyzing seasonal behavior and executing to seasonal strategies
- Managing the store attributes in our planning system to flow through to reporting to analyze store sales by clusters
- Executing daily reporting to analyze store sales and inventory and recommending action plans by store
- Help set goals for any new stores pre-opening, and provide sales recap support post-opening
Assortment Strategy: Optimize product level margin performance by:
- Analyzing product performance across the fleet and driving recommendations for location-based assortment strategies
- Ensuring the product assorting and style investment strategies support our store revenue goals down to the individual store
- Collaborating with cross functional teams on assortment testing
Miscellaneous Allocation, Planning, Merchandising, Field Strategy Support:
- In addition to the above, we will look to leverage your superior analytical skills where appropriate to help support miscellaneous MP&A research projects
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in retail, finance or data-focused analytical role
- Store Planning, Allocation, Retail Planning, or Merchandising experience a plus
- Bachelor's Degree
- Business acumen:
- Fundamentals with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Proficiency in Retail Math
- Experience with translating large data sets into digestible and actionable takeaways
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel and visit stores

Salary Range: $64,200.00 - $77,000.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
