Hire Elevation Resources is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-impact analytics team supporting a large-scale healthcare transformation initiative. This is a contract opportunity with a top-tier consulting firm working on behalf of a nationally recognized healthcare system.
In this role, you will apply advanced modeling techniques to uncover insights that inform clinical, operational, and financial strategies. Your expertise in time series forecasting, causal inference, and statistical analysis using Python will directly influence data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and deploy time series forecasting models for use in patient care, operational efficiency, and resource planning.
- Conduct causal inference analyses using techniques such as propensity scoring, difference-in-differences, and instrumental variables to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
- Perform statistical modeling and data exploration using large, complex healthcare datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, and domain experts to deliver actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics roles.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, Prophet, or similar libraries).
- Strong foundation in applied statistics, statistical inference, and hypothesis testing.
- Proven experience with time series modeling and causal inference methodologies in real-world settings.
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful narratives and visualizations.
- Experience working with healthcare datasets or regulated data environments preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to modern data platforms such as Snowflake, dbt, or cloud-based analytics stacks.
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics tools and data models (e.g., Epic Clarity, FHIR).
- Experience collaborating in consulting or cross-functional client-facing environments.
