Role: Senior Data Scientist
Location: Miami/ New York
As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in analysing complex datasets to extract valuable insights, build predictive models, and inform strategic business decisions. You will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders and data engineers.
Objectives:
- Data Exploration and Visualisation: Conduct thorough data analysis and create visualisations to understand data patterns and trends
- Predictive Modelling: Develop and implement machine learning models to predict outcomes and optimise business processes
- Experimentation: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
- Exposure to Equities and FICC is an advantage
Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full-time experience in a fast-paced financial or similar setting
- Experience with the following data: healthcare, B22 Sales, Events, Holdings
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience using libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow
- Data Visualisation: Proficiency in tools like Tableau or similar
- Statistical Analysis: Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis
- SQL: Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP
- Familiarity with big data tools like Spark and Kafka
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
