Senior UI/UX Designer – Embedded Insurance Web Application
we are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support the end-to-end design of a proprietary platform used in embedded insurance web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing retail applications (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) and bring a product-first, user-centric approach to every aspect of the UI/UX design process.
Position Overview / Responsibilities:
- Lead the UI/UX design process for cloud-based enterprise platforms within the embedded insurance and retail tech space
- Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to translate requirements into visually compelling and user-friendly designs
- Create wireframes, mockups, and process flows using Figma, ensuring consistency with established design guides
- Provide ongoing feedback and direction to design teams, ensuring adherence to visual standards and usability best practices
- Facilitate discovery and ideation workshops with cross-functional teams to capture user needs and business goals
- Actively contribute in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and maintain a product mindset throughout
- Maintain and evolve design systems and documentation for continuous product improvement
- Communicate clearly and confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders to present designs, timelines, and rationale
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience across web applications or enterprise platforms
- Hands-on experience designing retail-focused web applications (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Shopify, etc.)
- Proficient with Figma and other design tools (e.g., Adobe XD)
- Strong understanding of responsive and accessible design principles
- Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban
- Demonstrated success designing for complex, multi-user applications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with enterprise systems in insurance, commercial real estate, or financial services
- Experience gathering user requirements through interviews, workflow analysis, and user testing
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and design system governance
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and manage shifting priorities
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a shared design system
