Mercer University’s Georgia Baptist College of Nursing is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants should hold nurse practitioner certification and have significant experience caring for the adult-gerontology population in the primary care setting. Primary academic responsibilities will be in the Master of Science (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree programs. The faculty member may have additional responsibilities in other degree programs. In addition to teaching, faculty have responsibilities associated with research, scholarship, and service. This position requires on-campus presence and is not a virtual appointment. This is a full-time (9 or 12-month) faculty position. Tenure-track status is possible for candidates with an established program of research. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree in nursing or related field from an accredited university/college, Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia, Authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner in Georgia, Nurse practitioner certification with significant experience caring for the adult-gerontology population in the primary care setting, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values. Preferred Qualifications: AGPCNP or ANP certification, Prior full-time faculty experience, Experience teaching at the graduate level, Experience mentoring DNP students in scholarly projects, Evidence of scholarly productivity in area of expertise.
