Position Overview: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including planning, organizing, and executing warehouse activities. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of event-related inventory.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods. • Leadership: Proven ability to organize and direct warehouse staff to achieve departmental goals effectively. • Operational Skills: o Supervise handling, loading, unloading, cleaning, and storage of event-related items while maintaining a high emphasis on safety. o Train, mentor, and motivate employees to ensure a cohesive and productive team. • Technical Proficiency: o Proficient in email communication, Google Calendar, and Direct (training provided). • Licensing: Valid C-Class Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record is preferred. • Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English fluently; conversational Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities: Planning & Management: • Organize and oversee all stages of warehouse and dock operations for efficiency and accuracy, including: o Reviewing event creatives. o Printing pull tags for event items. o Printing and completing Master Creatives for each event. o Planning and scheduling Mockup execution (pulling, setup, breakdown). o Planning and scheduling pulling/packing, loading/unloading, cleanup/restocking processes. o Enforcing Post Event Check-In sheet submissions from Area Coordinators (Furniture, General Props, Glass/Tabletop, Vinyl). o Resolving inventory discrepancies with the Inventory Control Manager. o Monitoring and coordinating the repair of damaged items. • Staff Management: o Supervise daily activities and ensure compliance with uniform standards. o Monitor employee timekeeping and ensure accuracy. o Approve employee time clock punches every pay week. o Create employee schedules for Warehouse and Mockup at least two weeks in advance, coordinating with the Logistics Manager to avoid double-bookings or unnecessary double-shifts due to installations & strikes. o Manage time-off requests and communicate to HR for tracking. o Conduct annual performance evaluations and participate in recruitment efforts. o Train, mentor, and address performance issues with appropriate documentation. o Develop warehouse leads to oversee staff effectively. • Collaboration & Communication: o Attend weekly production and leadership meetings, contributing insights and updates. o Share company updates, policies, and directives during warehouse team meetings. o Gather employee feedback for continuous process improvement
Execution: • Lead morning huddles to outline daily expectations for warehouse staff. • Coordinate with departments (e.g., Art, Shop, Purchasing, Fabric, Furniture) to ensure timely and safe gathering/loading of event items. • Oversee safe loading/unloading of items into/out of transportation vehicles. • Maintain clean, organized docks and storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and compliance with safety standards. • Train employees on safety protocols and standard operating procedures. • Perform hands-on warehouse duties, modeling proper techniques and processes (Building opening/closing process, end of day cleanup routines, etc.). • Respond to workplace injuries, providing immediate care and detailed incident reports. • Drive transportation vehicles when required. Complete special projects as assigned.
