Zapata Quantum

Zapata Quantum, founded in 2017 as a Harvard spin-out, develops hardware-agnostic quantum software, algorithms and the Quantum Pilot platform for enterprise use-case discovery and hardware readiness assessment.

Zapata Quantum is a hardware-agnostic, pure-play quantum software company founded in 2017 and spun out of Harvard University's Quantum Computing Lab. It develops quantum applications and algorithms for enterprise customers, combining artificial intelligence techniques with quantum algorithms and classical computing approaches in hybrid quantum-classical systems. The company is based in the United States and is publicly traded.

The company's product, Quantum Pilot, is a platform for quantum application discovery and development. It is designed to help enterprises identify high-value quantum use cases and assess the readiness of quantum hardware. Alongside application development, Zapata Quantum works in quantum benchmarking, quantum hardware readiness assessment, cryptography, and materials discovery.

Zapata Quantum serves customers across cryptography, pharmaceuticals, finance, materials discovery and defense. It reports being the only organisation to have contributed across every technical area of the DARPA Quantum Benchmarking program, and the only U.S.-based publicly traded company singularly focused on quantum software development.
