Flexcompute
Flexcompute builds high-fidelity physics simulation technology and AI-agent tools for engineers across aerospace, automotive, quantum computing and semiconductors.
Flexcompute is a physics intelligence company founded in 2016 by engineers from MIT and Stanford. It develops high-fidelity physics simulation technology built from the ground up with modern computing, with the stated aim of making hardware development as straightforward as software. The company describes its work as turning the laws of physics into a shared brain for engineers and AI agents, helping organisations innovate faster, cut costs and reduce risk.
Its core product is a physics simulation platform spanning computational electromagnetics, computational fluid dynamics and aerodynamics, quantum circuit simulation, and high-performance computing. The reported advantage is turnaround measured in minutes rather than days: an aeroplane simulated in five minutes instead of ten hours, and a quantum circuit in three minutes instead of twenty hours, allowing design iteration at a pace previously unavailable to engineering teams.
Flexcompute employs over 90 people, more than 50 of them PhDs, and has raised $53M in Series B funding from top-tier venture capital. It serves more than 250 customers and academic institutions across aerospace, defence, automotive, quantum computing, energy and semiconductor test equipment. Named customers include Samsung, Northrop Grumman, NIO, Xanadu and Teradyne.
