XPeng designs, develops, manufactures and markets intelligent electric vehicles, with a particular focus on in-house software and hardware development. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Guangzhou, the company employs engineers across advanced driver-assistance systems, autonomous driving, powertrain engineering, electrical and electronic vehicle architecture, connected vehicle technology and over-the-air software updates. Its in-house full-stack products include XPILOT, an advanced driver-assistance system, and Xmart OS, the intelligent in-car operating system that underpins its vehicles.

The vehicle line-up comprises the X9 MPV, the P7+ sedan, the G9 SUV and the G6 crossover, each built around connectivity, autonomous driving capability and continuous software updates. Technical work extends beyond cars: XPeng also develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and robotics, positioning itself as a broader mobility technology company. The firm is publicly listed on the NYSE, having floated in 2021, and counts Volkswagen among its investors.

Manufacturing is concentrated at two facilities, in Zhaoqing and Guangzhou. Beyond China, XPeng maintains a European headquarters in Amsterdam and offices in Copenhagen, Munich, Oslo and Stockholm, with additional presence in North America and Asia-Pacific. Recruitment therefore spans vehicle engineering, software and data roles as well as eVTOL and robotics work, across both manufacturing and commercial locations.
