It builds autonomous agents that detect threats, enforce policies and conduct real-time investigations for risk and compliance teams. The company raised $21.5m in a Series A round and counts Fortune 500 companies among its customers.

The Variance Agentic AI Platform delegates investigative work to AI agents covering L1 to L3 reviews, with the aim of surfacing risk and accelerating investigations while maintaining consistency, auditability and traceability. The platform processes more than 70m context signals per day and has produced roughly 300,000 automated enforcement actions across customer environments. Its proprietary context engine and data lake allow agents to model and replicate investigative workflows; the infrastructure connects to more than 150 global business registries, sanctions lists, court dockets, adverse media sources and identity-verification platforms.

The AI investigative agents collect 90% of the evidence required per case and reduce investigative cycles tenfold. The technology spans agentic AI, context-aware reasoning, fraud detection, transaction monitoring and automation of evidence collection, and is applied across financial services, anti-money laundering, KYC/KYB and regulatory compliance.
