Taiga Motors

Taiga Motors designs and manufactures purpose-built electric powertrains and electric off-road vehicles for outdoor adventure. Founded in 2015 by a group of engineers, the company produced the world's first electric snowmobile and has since extended its technology to personal watercraft. Its technical work spans electric vehicle powertrains, off-road vehicle electrification and fast charging, applied through a clean-sheet manufacturing approach and rigorous performance standards.

The product line includes the Nomad snowmobile series, built for mountain, trail and utility terrain, and the Orca personal watercraft lineup. Vehicles in both ranges deliver up to 120 horsepower and a range of up to 100km, with fast charging capabilities. Taiga Motors was named one of TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2022.

Headquartered in LaSalle, Quebec, the company operates a flagship store in Montreal and works with dealers and commercial operators across North America and Europe. Its stated mission is to enable sustainable exploration of nature without compromising performance, power or riding experience, with a focus on accelerating off-road electrification.
