Sun Design Remodeling Specialists

Sun Design Remodeling Specialists is an architectural design-build firm working in residential remodeling across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Founded in 1988 by Craig Durosko, it began as a one-person sunroom repair and deck building shop and has since grown into a full design-build practice with more than 50 employees. The firm describes its work as transforming homes through the creative use of light, space and thoughtful design.

The company operates an integrated design-build model in which architecture, interior design and construction are handled within one organisation. Its technical capabilities span architectural design, interior design, space planning, residential remodeling and aging-in-place design, the last of which is aimed at supporting comfort and accessibility as occupants grow older.

Services cover whole-house remodeling, home additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, basement finishing, primary suites, interior living spaces and outdoor living spaces - the latter building on the firm's origins in deck building. The firm is award-winning and states a focus on cohesive, intentional and personal spaces for its clients in the DMV area.
