Simbe Robotics builds autonomous robots, RFID and sensor systems that digitize retail shelves, delivering real-time inventory, pricing and placement data to retailers in 10 countries.
Simbe Robotics builds autonomous systems for retail. The company uses AI, robotics, computer vision, RFID and advanced sensors to digitize store shelves, giving retailers real-time data on product availability, pricing accuracy and shelf placement. It operates across retail, grocery and wholesale/club formats, with deployments in 10 countries; named customers include BJ's Wholesale, SpartanNash, Schnucks and Wakefern.
Its flagship product, Tally, is a fully autonomous inventory robot that patrols store aisles several times a day, using computer vision to capture shelf conditions. It is joined by Tally RFID, an RFID-based solution for tracking soft goods, and Tally Spot, fixed sensors for high-turnover areas. The Store Intelligence platform integrates data from all three into a digital twin of the physical store, without requiring planograms.
The technical work spans autonomous robotics, computer vision, RFID, multimodal data integration and enterprise-grade integration with existing retail systems. Customers report 98% on-shelf availability, a 90% improvement in price and promotion accuracy, and 2% margin growth, with more than 50 weekly labour hours reallocated from manual scanning to customer service. Reported time to return on investment is within three months.
