Ambi Robotics

Ambi Robotics builds Physical AI-powered robotic automation for warehouse parcel sorting and palletizing, including the AmbiOS platform, AmbiSort and AmbiStack.

Ambi Robotics is a Physical AI company founded in 2018 that builds AI-powered robotic automation systems for warehouse operations, with particular focus on parcel sorting and palletizing. The company was founded by roboticists from UC Berkeley and works across a technical stack that spans simulation-to-reality (Sim2Real) AI, computer vision, foundation models, machine learning and dexterous robotic hardware. Its stated mission is to empower humans to work smarter through human-robot collaboration in warehouse operations, rather than to replace them.

At the centre of the technology is AmbiOS, an operating system for physical intelligence that powers the company's robotic solutions. AmbiSort, a high-speed parcel sorting system, reports 99% sort accuracy and has sorted more than 100m packages in commercial operations. AmbiStack is an intelligent palletizing solution, and PRIME-1 is a foundation model used within the technology stack to deliver scalable, flexible automation. The company states that its Sim2Real AI enables robots to learn 10,000x faster than traditional methods.

Reported operational results include a 400% increase in associate throughput, a 40% reduction in sorting operation costs and 24/7 reliability. Ambi Robotics has raised a $26M Series A plus $32M in additional funding. The company serves logistics, warehousing, parcel sorting, supply chain and distribution, and palletizing and material handling sectors.
