Ruyaai
Ru'yaai is an online organisation teaching Quranic Arabic, Nahw and Sarf, plus Quran study courses and digital learning tools, to over 3,000 students worldwide.
Ru'yaai is an online organisation that teaches Arabic and Quran study, with the stated aim of removing the language barrier between Muslims and the Quran. It teaches Quranic Arabic as an act of worship rather than as an academic discipline, with the goal that no Muslim should be unable to understand what they are reciting. Instruction is delivered through live and recorded sessions to a student body of over 3,000 learners worldwide.
Its flagship programme, Ru'yaai Arabic, takes students from the basics of the language through advanced Nahw (grammar) and Sarf (morphology). The wider course catalogue includes Counselling Through Quran, Knowing Allah Through Quran and the Productive Muslim Workshop. Two digital study tools support students' Arabic work: a structured Arabic Reader and a set of vocabulary flashcards using spaced repetition to aid retention.
Technical work spans online education and e-learning delivery, spaced repetition learning systems, digital study aids, and Arabic language and Quranic linguistics instruction. The organisation operates globally and makes sponsored access available to students who cannot afford fees. The founder, Hashir ibn Akram, is a Bayyinah Institute graduate trained under Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan.
