Neko Health
Swedish health-tech company founded in 2018, offering full-body scanning for preventive health screening across skin, heart, circulation, tissue and blood.
Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company founded in 2018 that develops preventive healthcare services built around full-body scanning technology. Its Neko Body Scan maps millions of data points across skin, heart, circulation, tissue and blood in a matter of minutes, covering cardiovascular health, metabolic indicators, detailed skin mapping, inflammation levels and eye health. Results are reviewed in a consultation with a doctor. More than 10,000 scans have been completed since launch, and the company reports a global waitlist of over 300,000 people.
The company employs more than 500 people and operates in Stockholm, London, Manchester and Birmingham, with a New York City location planned for 2026. Its technical work spans medical imaging, skin mapping, cardiovascular diagnostics, metabolic and blood analysis, inflammation detection and data-driven health diagnostics. Neko Health raised a €260m round at a $1.8bn valuation.
Among scan recipients, the company reports that roughly 1% were identified with serious, potentially life-threatening conditions, and about 7% discovered significant health issues requiring attention. It states that growth has been achieved with no paid marketing; 80% of members rebook, and many pay a year in advance. The company's stated aim is to shift healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. Founders include Daniel Ek, the founder of Spotify, and Swedish entrepreneur Hjalmar Nilsonne.
