Not-for-profit healthcare system running hospitals, clinics and specialty services across Nebraska and Western Iowa, employing over 2,000 staff and 400 physicians.

Nebraska Methodist Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare provider and one of the larger employers in the greater Omaha area, with more than 2,000 full-time employees and over 400 physicians on active staff. The system operates more than 70 facilities across Omaha, Council Bluffs, Fremont and surrounding areas of Nebraska and Western Iowa, spanning hospitals, clinics and specialty services. Its workforce of nurses, physicians, allied health professionals and support staff works within an integrated network designed to coordinate care across settings.

The system's facilities include Methodist Hospital, a 423-bed acute care hospital in Omaha recording roughly 22,000 patient admissions a year, which was the first hospital in Nebraska to receive Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Other sites comprise Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in the Council Bluffs area, Methodist Fremont Health, and Methodist Women's Hospital. Clinical services cover cancer care, cardiovascular medicine, women's health, orthopedics, primary care, rehabilitation and nursing care.

Nebraska Methodist Health System traces its roots to the founding of Methodist Hospital in 1891 and was established in its current form in 1982, giving it a claim to being Nebraska's oldest not-for-profit healthcare system. Its heritage is faith-based, originating with the Methodist Church, and its guiding philosophy, "The Meaning of Care", emphasises caring, educating and innovating to improve community health. The organisation describes its approach as integrated and mission-driven, with a stated commitment to quality patient care.
