Nace AI

Nace AI is an applied research and product company founded in 2024 and headquartered in Palo Alto, California. It builds trustworthy AI systems - what it calls sovereign specialised intelligence - powered by Small Language Models (SLMs) to automate enterprise business processes end to end. The company targets enterprises in which accuracy, auditability and trust are non-negotiable, with particular focus on professional services and enterprise software.

Its first product, NAVI, runs business processes end to end on small models that the customer controls, with each engagement tailoring the models more closely to that customer; the company reports 1,000 hours recovered per client engagement for professional services firms. Two further platforms, Nace Data Intelligence and Nace SLM Cloud, extend this to end-to-end business process automation and Small Language Model delivery respectively.

The technical work spans Small Language Models, large language models and generative AI, a metamodel framework, and trustworthy and auditable AI systems. The founding team, assembled in the summer of 2024, has collective experience at Google, Meta, Amazon and the University of Toronto. The stated mission is to build trustworthy AI systems that run companies.
