Micropol Fiberoptic
Micropol Fiberoptic, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Halmstad, manufactures secure tactical fibre-optic connectors, cables, deployment equipment, sensors and measurement systems for defence and critical infrastructure.
Micropol Fiberoptic is an international manufacturer of secure tactical fibre-optic communications and critical-infrastructure solutions. Its portfolio covers connectors, tactical cables, deployment equipment, monitoring sensors, testing and repair tools and optical measurement systems. The company works across passive fibre-optic communications, expanded-beam connector technology and optical measurement, and supplies customers in defence, security, telecommunications, broadcasting, medical technology, offshore, mining and industrial markets.
Founded in 1988, Micropol has its headquarters and manufacturing in Halmstad, Sweden, with sales operations in Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom and a worldwide customer base. The company became part of PAMICA Group in 2018 and has since invested in production capacity and international expansion; a new 4,600-square-metre manufacturing facility and headquarters in Halmstad was completed in 2026.
Among its products is FALCON, an expanded-beam fibre-optic connector introduced in 2011 that has been adopted by the Swedish Armed Forces and international defence organisations. The company also produces fibre-optic connectors for secure tactical and industrial communications, tactical cables for defence and critical-infrastructure use, equipment for deploying tactical communications systems, sensors for monitoring critical infrastructure, tools for testing and repairing fibre-optic installations, and the OptiScan optical measurement system.
Micropol's engineering heritage traces to Swedish Air Force fibre-optic work in 1981. The company maintains specialised in-house fibre-optic expertise and concentrates on security and reliability for critical-infrastructure applications.
