Lyrebird Health

Lyrebird Health builds an AI medical scribe and clinical documentation suite used in Australia, the UK and the US to generate clinical notes from consultations.

Lyrebird Health develops an AI medical scribe that securely listens during clinical consultations and generates clinical notes tailored to each clinician's documentation style. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Melbourne, the company also offers a clinical documentation suite covering letters, certificates and care plans. Its scribe is described as Australia's most widely used AI scribe, and the company reports having served more than 28,000 patients. Lyrebird Health operates in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The work spans several technical domains: AI and machine learning, speech recognition and audio processing, natural language generation, healthcare IT and electronic health record integration, and data security and encryption. Employees joining the company would be working on products deployed in clinical settings, where documentation accuracy and system integration with existing healthcare IT are core requirements.

Lyrebird Health states that data security is a paramount concern for the business. All patient data is processed and stored onshore and protected with bank-level encryption, and the company says it never uses customer data to train external AI models. Its stated mission is to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians so that they can focus on patient care.
